Tonkin has resided in Miami for over 20 years. His life has revolved around art; those who are privy to Howard Tonkin's work see the absolute promise and delivered possibilities for life he brings to outdoor spaces.

The free Self-Guided outdoor outlined outing is arranged so the viewer visitor can begin to harness the unlimited magnitude of Nature within manageable constraints of time and space.

The pine trees which are native to the area are expected to grow 25 feet tall over the next 25 years. Howard Tonkin, Owner of Urban Habitat, and his team planted a total of 275 pine trees over the last week as part of their 100,000 South Florida Tree Project. During the last decade, Urban Habitat has been committed to planting and building biodiverse landscapes, urban forests, native gardens, and fighting climate change and its impacts through direct action.
